Project overview
In order to fulfil our vision, students of the Managing Climate Solutions certificate have launched several projects, which we would like to present here.

Solar Art @HSGStrengthening general awareness of solar energy with an expressive artwork.
Solar PoliticsPolitical initiatives are launched to gather political support for 'Solarize HSG'.
Community FinanceThe Community Financing Team devises the financing of the student-initiated solar projects at HSG.
My CO2 ChallengeMotivating students to minimise their carbon footprint with the ‘My CO2 Challenge’.
Solarizing HSG - sign up to invest!More than 10,000 m2 of free roof space is available on the campus of the University of St.Gallen. This surface area is ideally suited for installing photovoltaic (PV) systems. Today, PV energy is already the cheapest way to produce additional electricity, making its expansion a clear WIN-WIN solution! That's why we want more of them on the campus!

VisionOur vision as MaCS students is to not only talk about theoretical concepts and create inconsequential powerpoints. The MaCS is different from other courses. We want to actively help shape the future of the University of St. Gallen with our ideas and concepts. In doing so, we would like to craft solutions which enable the university to make important steps towards becoming a sustainable place of learning and knowledge fit for the 21st century.

About us
The Managing Climate Solutions (MaCS for short) certificate was launched in the autumn semester of 2020. 36 highly motivated students are participating for the first time this year. The core of this certificate is formed by the projects that we would like to design and implement ourselves.
